HORWOOD LAKE HAS EXCEPTIONAL PICKEREL (WALLEYE) AND NORTHERN PIKE FISHING, AND THE PERCH FISHERMAN WILL ALSO BE REWARDED

Horwood Lake has over 100 miles of shoreline. Fishing in the lake is excellent at any time of day from May to October.

The lake is renowned for exceptional Pickerel (Walleye) and Northern Pike fishing, and the Smallmouth Bass and Perch fisherman will also be rewarded.

There is a screened-in fish cleaning room with running water and a freezer for taking home your catch.

Gasoline, oil, minnows, leeches, and ice for packing fish along with refreshments and snacks are available for sale at the camp.

LICENSES: Fishing (and hunting if you intend to hunt) licenses must be purchased before you get to camp. Visit the Ontario MNR Web Site for more information and online license purchases.

NOTE: There are 7 Fish Sanctuaries in operation on Horwood Lake from approx. May 12 through June 14th which results in some areas being closed to fishing during this time. The sanctuaries represent only 12 miles out of 128 miles of shoreline and excellent fishing is still available at this time.
