White Moose Wilderness Outpost is a 1-1/2 hours drive west of Timmins, Ontario on Horwood Lake near the town of Foleyet. The Outpost Camp is located on the lake’s mid-point which is a 12 MILE BOAT RIDE. Transportation to camp is included with packages. The camp is boat access only (no roads to camp). Guests are welcome to bring their own boat.

From the U.S. the two closest border crossings to Canada are at Sault Ste Marie, Michigan and Buffalo, New York (Niagara Falls).

From Sault Ste Marie: Travel North on Highway 17 to Wawa then East on Hwy 101 past Chapleau to Foleyet. Continue East along Hwy 101 nine miles to Horwood Lake Road Siqn and turn right, follow signs to Parking Lot (seven miles) Total distance 300 miles. Driving time 5 to 6 hours

From Buffalo: Take the QEW to Toronto, exit onto Hwy 427 and follow North to Hwy 401 East, proceed East on 401 to Hwy 400. Travel North on Hwy 400 past Barrie. Continue North after Sudbury on new Hwy 144 to Hwy 101 West. Turn left (west) on 101 until Horwood Lake Road sign (about 39 miles) Turn left and follow signs to Parking Lot (seven miles). Total distance from Toronto: 500 miles. Driving time: seven to eight hours.

By Air: White Moose Wilderness Outpost is 1-1/2 hours away from Timmins, Ontario where air connections can be made from all major cities. Ground transport from Timmins to the Outpost Camp can be arranged on request with an applicable fee.

Transportation to Camp:
Arrangements should be made prior to your arrival for pickup at the landing/parking area and during the main season specific pick-up times and days are used. The Outpost has Starlink internet and Wifi is available 24/7.

What to Bring:
Sleeping Bag / Food / Drinks / Water / Toothpaste / Soap / Shampoo / Towels / Medication / Fishing Gear
You may only bring beer in cans only. No bottles.

PLEASE DO NOT BRING ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
Camp electrical is run on a generator and cannot handle extra load. This includes: coffee machines, hot plates, hair dryers, toasters. Anything electrical you bring will not be brought to camp.
